Overview
Located in Sydney’s Inner West, Tempe Lands in Tempe is one of the largest fenced off-leash dog exercise areas in the region.
The grounds are expansive, with open fields that provide ample space for dogs to run and play safely within secure boundaries.
The off-leash space includes wide grassy areas, scattered trees, and shaded seating. Its scale makes it ideal for energetic dogs that need plenty of exercise, and the long sightlines help owners keep dogs in view.
The grass is generally well maintained but can become muddy after rain. While the fencing provides security, facilities such as water stations and bins are limited, so owners should bring their own supplies.
Tempe Lands connects to the Cooks River cycleway and walking tracks, offering options for longer walks before or after a park visit. Marrickville and Tempe cafés are close by, making it easy to combine dog exercise with local stops.
Tempe Lands is best suited to energetic, social dogs that thrive in large, secure open spaces.
Tempe Lands is managed by the Inner West Council.
