The Social Brewers

The Social Brewers opened in Mortdale in 2022 as the first independent brewery in the St George district — a casual taproom around the side of an industrial block, 10-or-so rotating taps, a kitchen that rarely runs except when a food truck parks up, and a rotating wine list from Two Figs for the beer-reluctant. The beers lean approachable: traditional styles with a modern ingredient twist rather than hop-chasing experiments. Weekend live music anchors Friday through Sunday. The set-up is genuinely small.

Dogs are always welcome, as the brewery states directly across its own venue listings and social feeds. The Mortdale location sits within a short drive of Oatley Park, where leashed dogs work the waterfront path every morning, and the brewery makes a fair Saturday afternoon anchor on the return leg.
