The Stoned Crow

Dog Friendly Bar in Crows Nest

Overview

The Stoned Crow has been a Crows Nest fixture since the 1950s, and a full renovation in February 2012 stripped the room back to bare brick, long communal tables and candlelight, with fake foliage overhead. Two smaller function rooms bookend the main bar: the Nest seats around fifty, and the Library holds a dozen. The wine list spans Australia and New Zealand from $25 to $70, Young Henrys pours by the jug for a twenty, and the Fairy Floss Martini has its own Instagram following. The Giant Chicken Schnitzel is exactly what it sounds like, and a rotating week runs Monday-to-Wednesday $18 rump-steak, schnitty or parmy specials alongside lunchtime twelve-dollar burgers and wraps.

Dogs are welcome at the covered outdoor seating. Sunday live music from half past three, Wednesday trivia with Meggs at seven, DJs most other nights: the Crows Nest crowd has the place on a rhythm.
