Advocate™ ULTRA Small 2.8-5.5kg Flea, Tick and Worming Chew

Overview
Advocate Ultra Chew is Australia's most complete flea, tick, heartworm, and worm treatment for dogs in a single monthly chewable tablet. Where most combined parasite products stop at three or four threats, Advocate Ultra Chew covers seven: fleas, paralysis ticks, heartworm, demodex mites, roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms — including the hydatid tapeworm, a zoonotic parasite that poses a direct risk to human health and is missed by most all-in-one alternatives.
Developed by Elanco and launched in Australia as the local equivalent of Credelio Quattro, it combines four active ingredients — lotilaner, moxidectin, pyrantel, and praziquantel — in a palatable chew dogs readily accept. Flea killing begins within 2 hours; paralysis tick protection is established within 4. One dose covers the full month.
Available across four weight ranges from 2 kg, it's approved for puppies from 8 weeks of age and suited to dogs of all sizes. For pet owners looking for a flea, tick, heartworm, and worming treatment combined into a single product — without juggling spot-ons, separate allwormers, or multiple schedules — Advocate Ultra Chew is the most thorough option currently available in Australia.
Ingredients
Lotilaner, Moxidectin, Pyrantel, Praziquantel. Elanco does not publicly disclose the full list of inactive ingredients. Contact your veterinarian or Elanco Australia for further information.

Lotilaner is an isoxazoline insecticide used in oral flea and tick preventatives. It selectively blocks chloride ion channels in parasites, causing nervous system overstimulation that kills fleas and ticks rapidly and provides monthly protection.

Moxidectin is a macrocyclic lactone used to prevent heartworm and treat a range of internal and external parasites. It works by disrupting nerve signal transmission in parasites, and is available in both oral and topical formulations.

Pyrantel is an anthelmintic commonly used to treat roundworm and hookworm infections in dogs. It causes spastic paralysis in susceptible worms by acting as a nicotinic receptor agonist, allowing them to be expelled through normal bowel movements.

Praziquantel is an antiparasitic drug widely used to treat tapeworm infections in dogs. It works by causing severe spasms and paralysis in tapeworms, allowing them to be digested and eliminated from the body.
