Overview
The Sydney Adoption Centre is one of RSPCA NSW’s key facilities, providing shelter, veterinary care, and rehoming services for surrendered, abandoned, and injured animals.
It also serves as a hub for education programs, fostering networks, and community outreach.
Adoption
Dogs, cats, and other pets available for adoption are listed online. Applications are lodged through each animal’s profile, followed by an appointment to meet them in person. Adoption fees include desexing, vaccination, microchipping, flea and worm treatment, lifetime registration, and a veterinary health check.
Lost Pet
For healthy strays, RSPCA advises contacting the local council pound, which is responsible for managing lost pets and contacting owners through microchip registration.
Donate
Support is welcomed through one-off or ongoing donations, sponsorships, or purchasing from the on-site pet shop. Donations help fund veterinary care, rehabilitation, and community programs.
Volunteer
A wide range of volunteer opportunities are available, from animal care and fostering to retail support, transport, and community engagement roles. Visit the RSPCA NSW volunteer page to explore opportunities in animal care, administration, events, and more.
