Pro Plan

)
Purina Pro Plan Performance Starter Mother and Puppy Chicken Dry Dog Food is an extruded dry kibble formulated for use across two specific contexts: pregnant and lactating females with elevated energy requirements, and puppies from weaning through early development. Made in Australia, chicken is listed as the primary protein. The formula contains colostrum, a maternal milk derivative intended to support immune system development in young puppies during the period following weaning when passive immunity from the mother begins to decline. The energy-dense profile addresses the elevated caloric demands of gestation, lactation, and rapid growth. Probiotics support developing digestive systems, and DHA from fish oil is included for brain and vision development in puppies. The kibble can be softened with water to aid consumption by puppies still developing dentition. As a high-calorie, high-nutrient formulation, it is not appropriate for adult dogs outside of pregnancy or lactation, or for puppies that have completed the growth phase.
