Where’s Nick

Where's Nick has pulled corks on the same Marrickville corner since 2017, when brothers Jules and Dominic Abouzeid converted an old cake shop into a wine bar with concrete floors, bric-a-brac furniture and wall murals. Sommelier Bridget Raffal joined as co-owner in 2020 and pushed the list further into natural, esoteric territory — grower champagne, vin jaune, no mainstream sauvignon blancs. The program has won Star Wine List's Best Medium-Sized List two years running. Chef Leila Khazma has run the kitchen since 2023: house-made labne, anchovies on crostini, a beef carpaccio with bone marrow aioli regulars order on repeat, and focaccia from the pizza oven.
