The Trinity

Dog Friendly Pub in Surry Hills

Overview

Trinity is a Surry Hills corner pub that has traded under four names since 1882 — Somers Hotel, Surry Hills Inn, The Elephant's Foot, and now Trinity, a nod to Trinity College Dublin that keeps Guinness permanently on tap. The current fit-out splits the room cleanly: downstairs runs as an Irish-leaning pub crossed with a sports bar, live games rolling under schnitzels, beef-and-Guinness pies, burgers and battered barramundi. The 2019 renovation added Tilly May's upstairs, a rooftop bar with a retractable roof, exposed brick and a quieter cocktail-led feel.

Dogs are welcome anywhere downstairs, inside or out. It's the sort of pub that knows exactly what it is: a reliable post-work drink, a Sunday afternoon Guinness, a sports telecast with thirty other people who turned up for the same reason.
