Zetland Hotel

Toohey Brothers built the three-storey Victorian Zetland Hotel in 1887, and Andrew Wakely took the first licence the following year. A 2024 refit rebranded the place Zetland Hotel at Green Square and split the ground floor into a Sports Bar, a Lounge Bar, Oscars Grill steakhouse, a TAB and a bottle shop, with a hidden beer garden that opens up once the weather turns. The bistro runs schnitzels, steaks, parmis, ribs and fish and chips. Burger Trivia on Tuesdays drops an $18 burger with the free trivia, and drag bingo on Wednesdays is hosted by Prada Clutch from 7:30.

Dogs are welcome in the beer garden, leashed, with water bowls set out across summer. Zetland's apartment density and two-minute walk to Green Square station make the pub a ready local for an otherwise new neighbourhood.
