Avalon Brewery

Avalon Brewery is a small Northern Beaches microbrewery established in 2016 and operating out of a side-street unit a short walk from the Avalon Beach sand. Takeaway sales — slabs and six-packs — run through the middle of the week, and the taproom proper opens Friday and Saturday evenings for the patio sessions: a pizza oven, a small tap line of in-house beer, and nothing much more ceremonial than plastic chairs pulled into a rough circle. The house beers lean all-natural and run small-batch, so the line-up rotates.

Dogs are welcome on the patio, and the brewery lists itself as a dog-friendly spot. On a given Friday the crowd tends to fold in a few leashed dogs alongside the beach-walk regulars. For Avalon Beach locals, it slots between the sand and the pub as a Friday patio option.
