Overview
Unexpected Guest Distillery is a small-team Australian gin operation in Marrickville, pouring out of a reimagined mechanic's workshop. The bar runs terrazzo tiles, a sunset-orange streak along the walls, and a working copper still in view. Four gins sit under characters — Clementine's American Gin, Young Tom's Bathtub Gin, Bobby's London Dry, and Disco Flamingo's Pink Gin. The tasting room doubles as a cocktail bar on Fridays and Saturdays, with two-hour gin masterclasses when booked. Happy hour runs Friday 3–6pm.
Dogs are welcome in the tasting room. It's a Marrickville cellar door that treats gin with the right amount of seriousness — and dogs with appropriate warmth.
